Hi there! My name is Hailee and I’m the gal behind the hands in the cooking and coffee videos you see across my social channels @cafehailee! I’m a longtime lover of everything food and eating, which inevitably led me to attending culinary school right out of high school. I spent many years cooking in restaurants and truly loved the ride. The combination of the pandemic and the general stresses of the restaurant industry, Ied to my decision to take a break from kitchens. Thus my TikTok and Instagram pages began!

Artichokes are so undervalued in many parts of the US. I was enchanted by them as a child after watching Julia Child make them on her PBS show The French Chef. I pestered my mom until she bought two (they were expensive and we were not wealthy by any means) and we cooked them just as Julia suggested. Mom and I loved them, everyone else thought they were “meh.” Now I’ve started to grow them myself in my container garden, and I buy them every shopping trip in spring and early summer when they are in season. My husband even bought me a box of premium artichokes from CA as an anniversary gift, and I ate so many of them! I shared, really I did. We had stuffed artichokes, fried artichokes, steamed artichokes with lemon butter and/or homemade aioli, and more. I definitely easy ways to deal with the choke, so I’ll cut my next artichokes in half when I prepare them. Thanks for the recipes!

How long do you cook the soft boiled eggs the first time knowing they are being held in reserve just to be reheated again later but still be soft-boiled? And how long is that reheating to keep them soft?
